Biography


Phraktal is an Irish electronic music band that has made a name for itself with its unique blend of sci-fi-inspired electronica, ambient soundscapes, and deep melodic house and techno.
The debut album, “Why 1 is One and 2 is Two,” was released in 2015 to widespread acclaim, earning the support of renowned DJs and producers such as Charlie May, Danny Tenaglia, Sam Paganini, and Paco Osuna. In addition to working with top labels like Mixmag, Limbo, Iconyc, and their Bakroom imprint, Phraktal has had their work remixed by techno pioneers like Orlando Voorn, Damon Wild, and Roland Klinkenberg. Their performances at major festivals like Body and Soul and Electric Picnic have cemented their place on the global stage, sharing the stage with acts like Massive Attack, The Prodigy, John Hopkins, and DJ Koze, as well as icons like Prince, Underworld, Richie Hawtin, Lil Louis Vega, and NERD. Phraktal’s third album, “Nightwalk,” is available on Limbo Records.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Phraktal has performed at numerous festivals under various aliases, including Creamfields, Electric Picnic, and Love Parade/Lovefest. He has also contributed to publications like Mixmag, Technoscene, Dubfly and Pitch Adjust.
