Mixdown and Mastering

We offer mastering and mixdown services for electronic, experimental, and artist-driven music where character matters as much as clarity.

Mastering isn’t about making your track louder; it’s about revealing what’s already there. The goal is balance, translation, and intent: ensuring your music holds together across systems while preserving the energy, tension, and detail that made it worth finishing in the first place.

Whether you’re releasing a single, an EP, or a full-length record, mastering is the final decision-making stage. It’s where a mix becomes a release.

We approach mastering with the same mindset that runs through all Bakroom projects: restraint, context, and respect for the source.

What we focus on

  • Cohesive tonal balance without stripping character

  • Controlled dynamics that retain impact and movement

  • Translation across club systems, headphones, and consumer playback

  • Loudness aligned with current release standards — not crushed for the sake of it

  • Consistency across EPs and albums, not just individual tracks

Music doesn’t live inside meters; it lives in spaces.

Clubs, cars, headphones, late nights.

This is mastering shaped by context, energy, and emotional impact.

Delivery guidelines

To ensure the best results, please send:

  • WAV files (44.1kHz / 16-bit or higher)

  • Stereo mixdowns

  • Peak level at or below -6dBFS

  • No limiting or master-bus compression

If you’re unsure, we’ll advise before you export.

Spatial Mastering

Available on request for artists releasing in Dolby Atmos, Apple Spatial Audio, or Sony 360RA. Spatial is a format — the philosophy remains real‑world.
